Okay, first off? You've been around fandom(s) for a long time, and you bring your experience & "wisdom" to the table. Everytime I think the fandom sky is falling, you come around to say "this isn't shit, and it'll get better".

When it comes to politics and current events, you tell us stories about how it was worse under Nixon & with the Vietnam War, and things can always get better. Even if this time around, I'm not so sure.

You're kind and caring about everyone around you. You always have a hug or a smiley face when I'm feeling down.

You're only a year older than me, but you've accomplished SO MUCH in your lifetime. You have a worldliness that comes from your experiences, and that's awesome.

You've had bad stuff happen, like being unemployed, but you always make the best of situations and rise above them.

You seem to know how to balance fandom and having a real life - which is tricker than it sounds!
