In other news, I get to see Cobra Starship and Fall Out Boy tonight. Eeeeee. I haven't seen Cobra since like, March 2008, and FOB since way back in November 2007, so I'm definitely really excited about this.

Although really, I've been reading so much genderswap lately, I might be in the audience the whole time going, "Petra's really playing good tonight, and Patricia is so on the money...."

Ooooh! I forgot to tell you guys, I did manage to watch the Battlestar Galactica miniseries, and... hmmm. It was pretty good. I definitely liked Starbuck. Mmmm, pretty. And that Cylon chick, Tricia Helfer, SO HOT OMG. That scene where she's fucking the guy and she's all, "I'm hot" while the whatever in her spine lights up? Whoa.

Now I just have to watch the rest of Season 1. I'll post again when I get caught up.

I also saw Idiocracy from Mike Judge, and I think I might even love this movie more than Office Space. Seriously, I was HYSTERICAL with laughter. I don't think I've LOLd so hard in years. Yeah, you should definitely all go rent that one.

Apparently there's a brutal honesty meme going on, and I am staying FAR FAR AWAY from that shit. If you guys think unflattering things about me, I don't need to know them. I'm already sensitive enough to criticisms, real or imagined. I don't need my irrational fears justified.

You guys, there needs to be more Cobra fic. Especially Gabe/Vicky-T. Seriously, Gabe was draped all over her at my show last night, constantly making cute little flirty comments. Like - and I'm paraphrasing here - "I'm just gonna grab my crotch. No wait, Victoria's gonna grab HER crotch! All right!" and "Victoria's gonna do a burlesque show. I would pay to see that!" etc etc. It was adorable. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't actually think anything is seriously going on between them, or between anyone in that band. They're all just very comfortable with each other. But seriously, if Vicky was a guy and Gabe was acting like that around him, there would be so much fic and OTP manifestos, it'd be ridiculous. Poor het never gets any love. Actually, Cobra in general doesn't get much love in fic. Usually I just see Gabe cameos in fics focused on other bandom dudes, not any Cobra-specific fics. Maybe it's because everyone in fandom knows the Cobra people actually read fic about themselves, and it makes ficcers squeamish writing about them, or something.

My ears are ringing and I'm kind of exhausted, plus I have to go to work in an hour, so I'm not doing a blow-by-blow recap. Suffice it to say the entire concert was AWESOME. I didn't even know much about the three opening acts - I had some of The Cab's music on my iPod, but that was it. Now I definitely have to download some Metro Station and We The Kings. (Anyone wanna hook me up?)

I'm not sure I like Diet Cherry Chocolate Dr Pepper yet. I like the Cherry Vanilla flavor quite a bit - it's my favorite soda, actually - but this one is... DIFFERENT.

I went shoe shopping today, which ranks as about my least favorite activity ever. I had to get shoes to match my dress for my friends' wedding, where I'm the maid of honor. Which reminds me, I'm supposed to throw a bridal shower in the next month and a half - how the fuck do I go about doing that? I'm hoping we can just do a lunch somewhere and exchange gifts, and maybe play a game or two. There has to be some kind of website to help me plan this shit. Like, planabridalshower.com or something.

Anyways, yeah, I went shoe shopping with my friend and her mom (who is paying for all this stuff, so I like her a lot). We tried to find a pair of purple shoes to match my dress, but no luck. So we went with black heels that had a little cut-out for the toes. I don't know anything about shoes, but they're totally cute. Expensive too - they actually cost more than the bride's shoes, which totally amused me.

Hey, are any of you guys on Buzznet? I'm there as Lunalore, but I hardly ever use it. I just have a couple pics up right now, I don't use the blog feature or anything. I don't really see the point of having all these MySpaces and Facebooks and whatnots, but you know I have to join everything.

OMG, exactly two weeks until Cobra Starship! Eeeeeee. I've been reading all these concert reports on LJ from people that have already gone to their shows, and I'm so jealous.

I'm only sporadically getting LJ comments. I'm sure tomorrow I will get all the missed comments in a mad rush of emails.

In late October, MTV News learned that Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump was stepping out from behind the microphone to become the prime suspect in a high-profile NYC kidnapping/murder case on NBC's "Law & Order."

Well, now we know a bit more: The episode, called "Darkness," was originally scheduled to air in early February, but it'll now air on January 2, as part of the two-hour premiere of the show's 18th season. Stump plays a lowly office employee named Marty Dressler, who comes under suspicion when the wife and daughter of a high-ranking executive are kidnapped ... and a housekeeper is murdered.

Ooooh, I'm all intriqued. And dude, the episode's less than 2 weeks away! ::squees::

Let us all HOPE AND PRAY that Patrick is a better actor than Pete. Which really, shouldn't be that hard, considering Pete is like the worst actor in the history of acting. (I love you to death Pete, but... dude.) Although I'm very intrigued by Pete in a handlebar mustache for Cobra Starship's new video, which I cannot wait for. (It's for "The City is at War", my favorite song off the new album.)
